Things are starting to come together for the launch of The Waves Burn Bright in May. The final proofs are done and it should be off to the printer any day now, and I can share a couple of events with you. There will be more to come – at the moment they are embargoed until permission to go public is given – but people in Glasgow and Edinburgh can get their diaries out.
Glasgow, Waterstones Byres Road. Thursday May 19th 2016, from 19.30. Official listing.
Edinburgh Central Library. Tuesday May 24th 2016, from 18.30. Official listing. This is free but ticketed, so click on the link to book tickets.
Manchester Bad Language at The Castle Hotel. Wednesday May 25th 19.30. Official Listing.
In other news, my latest piece for the Japan Times is live now, a look back at Kenzaburo Oe’s Somersault.
And the third issue of Shoreline of Infinity, and the first I’ve been directly involved in as Reviews Editor, is out now. Shoreline’s monthly Event Horizon evening has changed venue and date, now in the Blind Poet pub in Edinburgh on the first Monday of the month, meaning the next one it April 4th. Get along if you can.
