Recently the kind folk at http://www.nothingintherulebook.com contacted me about doing an interview and writing an article for their site. The article will appear later in the year but the interview is live now. They asked some tough questions about the ethical responsibility of writers and the realities of life as a writer while the publishing industry is going through a well-documented crisis, two questions I’m still pondering today.
My review of Leza Lowitz’s YA verse novel about the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami was in last Sunday’s Japan Times. You can read it here.
Two magazines I work for, Eastlit and Shoreline of Infinity are currently open for submissions. Check out their respective pages to see what they are looking for.
Beyond that I’m hiding from the snow, working on various projects and putting together a series of events in the UK for May this year. More news as and when. Back to the grindstone.
