The organisers of the Dundee International Book Prize have released a sample book containing the first chapter of all thirteen novels shortlisted for the 2013 prize. It’s available as a free download from Amazon or as an actual paper-and-spine book from their offices in Dundee. I got my copy yesterday and can’t wait for the weekend to start so I can get reading. Based on the elevator pitch sentences on the website, it’ll be an intriguing and diverse read. That, in conjunction with Toni Davidson’s jaw-dropping novel My Gun Was As Tall As Me which I am halfway through, means my reading pleasure for the foreseeable future is guaranteed.
The release of the sampler means we are getting closer to the announcement of the three finalists. Good luck to all the other writers.
