Just a quick post to bring your attention to the work of Ian Thomas Ash. I’ve begun research for what may become my next book. It’s set in Japan in the aftermath of the 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster. My main character will be a documentary film maker and as such Ian has been very kindly helping me out by answering questions and pointing me in the direction of resources. He is based in Japan and has made a number of films about the continuing impact of the triple disaster that are beautiful and moving, most recently A2-B-C. He’s covering stories that have dropped out of the news cycle or are being suppressed, so please take some time with these important films.
